Burst Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
- Burst has no account, no sign-in and no in-app purchases.
- Your scores, level stars and settings stay on your device. We never receive them.
- Ads only play when you tap a button to get a reward. Google AdMob, our ad provider, collects some device data to show and measure those ads.
- In the EU, UK and Switzerland you choose whether ads can be personalized, and you can change that choice at any time in Settings → Ad choices.
1. Who we are
Burst is a game in the SHAPES series, published by Wisepear – Laboratório Tecnológico, Unipessoal, Lda (“Wisepear”, “we”), Rua Inácio Perestrelo, 32 2º, 4990-120 Ponte de Lima, Portugal (NIPC 516410300). Wisepear is the data controller for the processing described in this policy, except where Google acts as an independent controller (see section 3).

2. Data stored on your device
Burst saves the following on your device only, so you can pick up where you left off:
- your arcade statistics (best score, number of runs, play time) and your achievements;
- the stars earned on each level;
- your Daily Run results and streak;
- your settings (theme, sound, vibrations, accessibility, language, reminders) and which in-game tips you have already seen;
- the number of games you have finished, so that no reward offer appears during your very first game.
This data is not sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it. You can get a copy of it at any time in Settings → Export my data.
Daily Run reminders are off until you turn them on. They are scheduled on your device; no data leaves it.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Burst is free. Its only income comes from optional rewarded ads: a video plays only when you tap a button such as “Continue”, “+5 moves” or “+3”, and you get the reward when it ends. No ad ever plays on its own.
The ads are provided by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited in the EEA and Switzerland, Google LLC elsewhere). When the app starts and when it loads or shows an ad, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects:
| Data | Examples |
|---|---|
| Device identifiers | Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, only if you allow tracking; advertising ID on Android), app set ID, app-scoped identifiers |
| Approximate location | Estimated from your IP address |
| Ad and app interactions | Ads you have seen, video views, taps, app launches |
| Diagnostics | Crash logs, app launch time, hang rate, energy usage |
Google uses this data to show ads, to measure them, to prevent fraud and, if you agree, to personalize them. Google processes it under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy, and explains how it uses data from partner apps at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your choices
- EU, UK and Switzerland: on first launch, a consent form (Google’s certified consent platform) asks whether Google and its ad partners may store and access information on your device and personalize ads. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw or change it at any time in Settings → Ad choices. If you refuse, you can still play everything and still watch ads for rewards; the ads are then non-personalized or limited.
- iOS: after your first game, Burst asks once whether it may track you across apps (App Tracking Transparency). If you decline, Google cannot access your advertising identifier (IDFA). You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Google → Ads, depending on the device).
Refusing consent or tracking never changes the game, the rewards or the offers.
4. Messages you send us
If you use Settings → Report a problem, your mail app opens with a message to support@wisepear.eu. It includes what you wrote and, to help us, the app version, your phone’s operating system, the app language and the number of games played. Nothing is sent unless you send that email yourself. We use it only to answer you and to fix the problem, and we delete it once it is handled.
5. Children
Burst is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has used Burst and want the related advertising data handled, contact us and we will help you reach Google.
6. International transfers
Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and also relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
7. Retention
Game data stays on your device until you delete the app. Google keeps advertising data for the periods set out in its privacy policy. Emails you send us are deleted once your request is handled.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Because Burst has no account and we do not receive your game data, most requests about advertising data are best handled through Google’s tools or by contacting Google. We will answer any request sent to us and help you with it.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt), or with the authority of the country where you live.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
